Accra Mall

Ideal Air Services Ghana Ltd. deliveres extensive HVAC installation works at Accra Mall, Accra, providing specialized cooling solutions for a wide range of retail, hospitality, banking, food service and commercial outlets within the mall. The project involved the installation and integration of Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, Air Handling Units (AHUs), and chiller systems to provide reliable and efficient temperature control across numerous individual shops and commercial spaces. Given the diverse nature of the outlets, each space required careful consideration of its specific cooling requirements, occupancy levels, layout and operational activities. Our HVAC team carried out installation, system connections, air distribution works, testing, commissioning and performance adjustments to ensure the cooling systems were properly integrated into the respective spaces.

Key HVAC Activities

Our scope of work included:

Installation of VRF/VRV air-conditioning systems for individual retail and commercial outlets.
Installation and integration of AHU systems for larger and centralized air-conditioning requirements.
Installation and connection of chiller systems serving areas requiring centralized cooling.
Installation of refrigerant piping and associated insulation.
Installation of condensate drainage systems.

Engineering Approach

Working within an active commercial environment such as Accra Mall required careful coordination to minimize disruption to tenants, customers and mall operations. Our team worked around the operational requirements of individual outlets while coordinating HVAC installations with existing building infrastructure and other MEP services.

The combination of VRF, AHU and chiller technologies allowed different spaces to receive cooling solutions appropriate to their individual requirements, from retail stores and fashion outlets to restaurants, banks, entertainment facilities and technology stores.
